Good Morning,
Yesterday a co-worker and I were discussing law and the Ten Commandments. We tried to write them down and remember what they were. I couldn't even say where in the Bible they were written so I did some research.
Man's law is an attempt to circumnavigate God's laws but we still have God written into the things we care about the most. Insurance policies always have an act of God clause. Our Fiat currency has the phrase "In God We Trust". The foundation document of the United States, The Declaration of Independence, mentions God 4 times.
Some, as I used to, would say that natural law is the truth. It isn't. Natural law is the knowledge of good and evil that we inherited but are powerless to control. Thus, in sin, we merely contribute to the degeneration and at the same to try to control it with more degeneration. This is why laws vary from state to state, place to place and why pornography, sexual depravity, and every sin in the Bible are legal in one place or another.
Our knowledge of things is the inverse of time. We humans knew more in the past and now we know less and less because we are limited to the egos and icons of this day. Some of us self limit by obedience to Fiat knowledge. Narcissism is the rule of thumb and the thumb is all we can count with. We hitchhike after the truth riding around going from one trend to another.
We don't need to live in darkness the light of knowledge is the ubiquitous King James Bible and the other versions of the Bible that scholars and lay men have found to be inspiring and wise. The word of God is here. We need not obey man's law with it's intricate hegemony and nuance. We need only to keep it simple by prayer and obedience to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The Ten Commandments:
Exodus 20 1-17
Exo 20:1-17 KJV “And God spake all these words, saying,
2. I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
01 -- 3. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
02 -- 4. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6. And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
03 -- 7. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
04 -- 8. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10. But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
05 -- 12. ¶ Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
06 -- 13. Thou shalt not kill.
07 -- 14. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
08 -- 15. Thou shalt not steal.
09 -- 16. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
10 -- 17. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.”

And Jesus Said in Matthew 22 36-40
Mat 22:36-40 KJV “Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38. This is the first and great commandment.
39. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets...”
